Employee Relations Officer

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Mining Industry, based in Burgersfort area, has an opportunity available for a Employee Relations Officer.

POSITION INFO:
Education and Experience Requirements:

• Matric/Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) certificate is essential
• A 3 year National Diploma/Bachelor Degree, at NQF level 7 or ( NQF level 6), in Human Resources, Labour Relations or related field is essential
• Computer Literacy (MS Office Package and SAP HR) is essential
• Knowledge of company policies, labour legislation, CCMA processes and Employee Relations practices is essential
• Minimum of 2 years mining working experience in Employee Relations (ER) is essential
• Previous exposure in incapacitation processes would be considered an advantage
• Must have good communication, counselling and problem solving skills
• Valid Medical Certificate or be medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate

KPAs:

• Facilitating and coordinating disciplinary, grievance and incapacitation hearings
• Advising line management and employees on handling ER related issues in accordance with company policies and legislation
• Record and give reports to management on outcome of hearings
• Ensure proper and effective administration of ER processes and recordkeeping
• Understanding of and advise ER stakeholders on handling conflict within workplace
