Energy Engineer

SUMMARY:
Position available for a Professional Energy Engineer, registered with ECSA. we require an Electrical or Mechanical Engineer with a degree or Diploma with minimum of 5 years experience in the energy savings and optimization industry with focus on commercial buildings.

POSITION INFO:

Position: Energy Engineer

Location: Johannesburg

Hospital and health care environment. Private hopital group

The primary role will be to prepare business cases, do feasibility studies assist in specification and procuring of solutions and guidance of the consulting engineers

Qualifications and skills required:

• 4 year Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree or Diploma
• Registered Professional with ECSA
• Certified Energy Manager
• Minimum of 5 years experience in the energy savings and optimisation industry with focus on commercial buildings
• Proven track record on report writing, feasibility studies and presentation of these types of projects to senior management
• Referenced projects done previously to follow up on previous work

Responsibilities:

• Project Management of energy and carbon reducing projects including the project initiation, feasibility, capital applications, design specifications, design reviews, detailed design and implementation
• Ensure compliance to ‘green’ standards
• Investigation and selection of alternative funding options for energy reduction projects including DSM and DEA initiatives
• Implementing ‘green’ designs in new Greenfield projects and hospital modifications, including BMS, HVAC/Hot water system integration, low and high tech design impact
