POSITION INFO:

A mining company is looking for an Engineer 2.13.1 to work on-site in Limpopo

Position: Engineer

Location: Fochville to work in Limpopo

The successful incumbent will be responsible for:

• Responsible for all safety requirements within his/her area of responsibility
• Ensure compliance with Mine Health and Safety Act
• Management by analysis and consultation, the engineering standards and practices applied at the operation
• Managing equipment availabilities against set targets & Key performance indicators
• Managing life cycle and operational cost of equipment and maintenance strategies
• Cost & budget control
• Management of the key performance areas of subordinates
• Maintenance of underground production equipment such as trackless mobile machines, conveyor belts, and chairlift installations
• Develop action plans to achieve the mine strategy and business plan
• Evaluate maintenance processes to optimise and improve as-set performance
• Lead RCFA and develop action plans
• Recourse planning

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• BEng in Electrical Engineering
• GCC Mines & Works
• Knowledge of surface and underground mining operations
• Knowledge of hybrid & hydropower mining methodology will be advantageous
• Minimum of 2 years in underground trackless mining environment
• Must be willing to travel
