SUMMARY:
Consult and design as a key member forming part of the mine closures team for a mining giant in the South African industry.
POSITION INFO:
Mine closure design and environmental engineering
Closure feasibility studies and provide support for mine closure costing and rehabilitation planning
Work closely with senior mine closure engineers and technical teams
Be involved in fieldwork, data analysis, engineering design and writing reports
Work on local and international projects
Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience at a consulting firm, preferably in the field of mine closure or mine based rehabilitation and closure planning
Professionally registered (or eligible for professional registration)
Project management qualification and experience considered beneficial
Innovative and problem-solving mindset
Qualification:
Degree in Mining, Civil or Environmental Engineering or
Postgraduate degree in Environmental Science (Research experience required)
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
