Engineer / Pr Technologist

SUMMARY:
We require an experienced Engineer / Pr Technologist with 10+ years extensive experience in water, sewerage and civil infrastructure in Richards Bay

POSITION INFO:

Position available from January 2022:

Requirements:

1. BSc Engineering / B.Eng Civil degree
2. 10+ years extensive experience in water, sewerage and civil infrastructure
3. Design experience in Civil Designer

 

Duties will involve:

• Prepare engineering analysis of projects to include preliminary designs, calculation, life cycle cost and selection of alternatives.
• Prepare technical construction specifications.
• Ensure smooth running of a project and that the work is completed on time and within budget
• Manage construction documents e.g. proposals, tenders.
• Manage project issues, budgets and schedules.
• Review and critique proposed changes to engineering standards, policies or details.
• Review plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards and good engineering practices.
• Managing, supervising and visiting contractors on site and advising on civil engineering issues.
• Coordinate the activities of the design and construction teams.
• Provide technical presentations.
• Perform project leader functions
• Provide on the job training to new staff.
• Other related duties as assigned.
