JOB SUMMARY:

A dynamic and fast-growing supplier of chemicals and equipment for water treatment applications to is seeking a technically strong engineer within Water Treatment that will be responsible for problem solving, site inspections and designing of complex water treatment systems in line with company objectives.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements for the role:

Must have a BSc/MSc or BEng in Chemical Engineering
Knowledge of and experience in water treatment technologies, systems and principles are essential
Must have strong analytical / problem solving skills, with the ability to analyze and understand sophisticated issues and consequently develop plans to capture opportunities
The ability to demonstrate innovation with regards to installations and servicing is important
Must be able to work under pressure, to fixed deadlines and within project budgets
Excellent communication and customer management skills will be required
Must have a valid drivers license and be willing to travel

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Designing, installing, maintaining and servicing water treatment systems.
Developing and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders.
Conducting site visits to determine customer needs.
Defining and providing service and maintenance plans.
Supporting external and internal customers in solution definition and quotation work to meet customer requirements.
Participating in project negotiations and preparing project quotations.
Providing Technical Support for products and systems within the market area.
Identifying and targeting service and sales opportunities for various industries.
Contributing the strategizing the business outlook for 3 – 5 years and ensuring materialization of objectives.
Preparing 12-month and 24-month budget plans.
Promoting the company products and image.
Delivering technical presentations at customers on new product launches/projects.
Maintaining industry/market knowledge within the Water Treatment industry.
Attending conferences as needed within the Water Treatment and related industries.
Responsible for forecasting and purchasing of stock on a monthly basis.
Actively looking for opportunities outside the current portfolio for possible acquisitions.

Salary package, including benefits, are highly negotiable depending on experience gained
