Engineering Foreman - Asset Care

SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Reliability Manager, you will be responsible for maintenance of all Site Services and Utility infrastructure, as well as managing all boilermaker requirements.

POSITION INFO:

Essential that you have a solid understanding of the processes concerning Asset Care/Maintenance of plant equipment performance and administration. Ability to motivate direct reports and the relevant maintenance teams.

Utility infrastructure includes the infrastructure for Electricity, Gas and Water. The infrastructure includes all low-security buildings and structures and all Estate buildings and structures. The boilermaker requirements include, but are not restricted to all-steel construction, fabrication and repairs.

• Implement control systems and policies whilst optimising the interface between the maintenance unit and the customers.
• Designing and managing the implementation of planned maintenance programmes for a specific business unit, in line with optimising the reliability of all units.
• Accountable for the execution of all maintenance intervention in line with best practices to ensure maximum plant availability and may be required to work rotational stand-by with other foremen as when required

Essential Qualification, Skills and Experience

• Minimum N3 or equivalent
• Recognised trade test certificate in Electro-mechanical, Boilermaking, Fitting or Electrical trade
• National Diploma or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role would be advantageous
• Solid understanding of the processes in relating to Asset Care / Maintenance of the plant equipment performance and administration.
• Knowledge of Heavy Current Electrical systems
• Knowledge of Mechanical systems, including boilermaking
• Knowledge of HT switchgear and relevant switching procedure
• Good knowledge of troubleshooting and fault-finding on equipment
• Knowledge of the permit to work system
• Compile maintenance plans for new and existing equipment as may be required.
• SAP PM experience and/ or other CMMS would be advantageous
• Knowledge of SAP system and/ or other CMMS is essential
• MS Office Package is essential
• A customer-centric approach to maintenance
• Ability to manage employees and contractors
• Ability to set up, understand and work to a specified budget
• Ability to perform incident and accident investigations
• Ability to schedule and conduct plant maintenance
• Manage technical information (manuals, drawings, etc.) where required
• Ensure completion of statutory maintenance timeously
• Determine SHEQ incidents for further analysis and action.
• Drive continuous improvement
• Have an ability to be a team player within the organisation
