New opportunity available as an Engineering Site Manager, manage maintenance, projects and design office on the South African site

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:

Ensure legal compliance of all equipment on site according to the OHS act 85 of 1993
Assessment of high level risks in the organization and the development and execution of mitigation programs to reduce the risk. This related to Safety, Health, Environmental and business risks
Develop and implement medium and long term strategies to improve engineering availability in the area under your control
Development and management of planned and unplanned maintenance programs on site
Creation of policies and procedures relating to engineering functions
Create and manage the site maintenance, utility and capital budgets
Manage the life cycle of assets including upgrades and replacements
Upgrading and automation of process equipment and lines
Management of production development
Provide a supporting role in production
Manage production projects
Manage capital expenditure on site, including the allocation of funds to the most feasible projects, the planning of the capital budgets, the adherence to cash flow forecasts and the successful execution of all projects
Manage the design office, ensuring design requests are executed in accordance with business priorities and according to the relevant standards
Management of service related contracts
Cost control
Evaluation of plant capacity and equipment performance
Management of utilities on site including Electricity, Water, compressed air and various industrial gasses
Responsible for Maintenance Managers, Design Office Manager and Project Manager

Education: Minimum Requirements

BEng Mechanical Engineer – (regrettably no B-tech’s)
GCC passed certificate – Factories – legal appointment

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in an engineering management role in the production environment
Project Management Skills
Fluency in written and spoken English
Ability to manage large technical teams
