Engineering Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client in the mining industry has an opportunity available for an Engineering Manager, to be based in the Rustenburg area.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• B Engineering/BSc Engineering/National Diploma is essential
• Government Certificate of Competency Mines of works in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is essential (2.13.1)
• 3 - 5 years operational experience within Hard Rock Mining industry is essential
• Underground experience at shaft level
• Registration as a professional certificated engineer would be an advantage
• 2 year recognised junior engineering program training is essential
• 2 to 3 years Project Management experience would be desirable
• Valid Medical Certificate or medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate

Key Competencies:

• Applied knowledge of general management methodologies and principles would be advantageous
• Must have Legal knowledge related to the mining industry
• Applied knowledge of strategic management principles would be an advantage
• Must have operational knowledge related to the mining industry
• Computer Literacy (MS Office, MS Project, SAP R/3) is essential
• Time management and negotiation skills are advantageous
• Data analysis and Presentation skills are essential
• Mentoring and coaching skills are advantageous
• Reliability engineering/Preventative maintenance skills is essential
