SUMMARY:
Our client in the mining industry has an opportunity available for an Engineering Manager, to be based in the Rustenburg area.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

B Engineering/BSc Engineering/National Diploma is essential
Government Certificate of Competency Mines of works in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is essential (2.13.1)
3 - 5 years operational experience within Hard Rock Mining industry is essential
Underground experience at shaft level
Registration as a professional certificated engineer would be an advantage
2 year recognised junior engineering program training is essential
2 to 3 years Project Management experience would be desirable
Valid Medical Certificate or medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate

Key Competencies:

Applied knowledge of general management methodologies and principles would be advantageous
Must have Legal knowledge related to the mining industry
Applied knowledge of strategic management principles would be an advantage
Must have operational knowledge related to the mining industry
Computer Literacy (MS Office, MS Project, SAP R/3) is essential
Time management and negotiation skills are advantageous
Data analysis and Presentation skills are essential
Mentoring and coaching skills are advantageous
Reliability engineering/Preventative maintenance skills is essential
