Our client based in Humansdorp is currently looking to employ an Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities:

• The jobholder will report to the General Manager Operations and will be responsible for asset care and maintenance of all site services, buildings and will be the primary custodian of organizational engineering practices and standards across all operational departments.
• Manage and control parts and spares for all engineering related activities to eliminate unnecessary downtime and unwarranted stockholding.
• Assist with the development of capital project plans and the operational management thereof to ensure on time completion within specification and CAPEX parameters.

Requirements:

• Minimum requirements are a qualified mechanical or electrical engineer B Eng or similar a GCC and 5 years of related management experience in a medium to large company.
• Have a proficiency for the management of site utilities – electrical reticulation (LV and MV), refrigeration, steam, air, HVAC, water reclamation and associated plant and equipment.
• Be cognizant of current maintenance best practices and the ability to implement these in line with legislative parameters.
• Have a knowledge of effective spares management principles.
• The ability to translate business objectives into functional capital projects and lead to completion.
• This position requires a motivated self-starter who is able to lead and develop skilled employees while working effectively across the organization to achieve desired company objectives.
