Engineering Manager

Our client in the Plastics & Packaging Industry based in Kenya is looking for Engineering/Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities

• To conduct Technical, Engineering and Maintenance services, effectively managing and maintaining existing Plastic moulding Tools and machines.
• Develop and execute maintenance plans to ensure effective utilisation, efficiency and optimization of the Plant, Equipment, facilities and utilities to meet set OEM Standards.
• Design Preventive, Predictive maintenance strategies, procedures and methods to ensure operational reliability and availability of the plant and ensure optimal machine, mold and utilities are available for achieving 95% efficiency against the planned production
• Lead and coordinate the team work in order to ensure they have the resources and skills to quickly and effectively respond to downtimes.
• Oversee preparation of reports for all engineering processes and key machines and to identify places of waste, downtime, overtime, cost overruns and implement ways of controlling it.

Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or related field of study
• 15 years experience in Plastics Industry
• 5+ years'' of management experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
