SUMMARY:
Mining company is seeking an Engineering Manager - Asset and Maintenance to join their team. Must have solid experience on Underground, open-pit and trackless mining. Knowledge of winders, compressors, fridge plants and pumps is essential.
POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- GCC (Mines & Works)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the Mining industry
- Training and/or suitable experience in Reliability Engineering principles and Condition Monitoring practices
- Underground, Open-pit and trackless mining is ideal.
Roles & Responsibilities · Reliability Engineering – Oversees the Central Reliability Engineer to improve the availability, reliability and operability of equipment and systems
· Oversees the Condition Monitoring department, including the management of external skills
· Responsibility for the management and potential upgrade of the CMMS (dMS)
· Technical oversight of the Design Office
· Quality Engineering
o Drafting of standards for Engineering procurement
o Management of team of quality assurers
o Warrantee claims
o Liaison with suppliers
o Inputs into various committees
· Mechanical expert
o Consulting Mechanical Engineer for SA Operations
o Oversight of specialist mechanical work in the company
o Consulting on investigations
· Reports to the Executive – Technical Services & Engineering
