Job & Company Description:

A well-known company that has an international presence is looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager that is extensively experienced to join their team in Johannesburg. This company has clients in over 50 countries, and they design and manufacture construction materials. The desired candidate must have technical maintenance experience and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, they will be responsible for improving the performance of the plant and can be involved in organisational projects and lead their team to reach greater heights.

Education:

BEng/BSc in Mechanical Engineering (non-negotiable)
Government Certificate of Competence – Factories (non-negotiable)

Job Experience & Skills Required:

10 years of overall working experience as an engineer
4 years’ experience as an Engineering Manager in a manufacturing environment (preferably metal, FMCG or petroleum)
Knowledge of formal standards (OHSAS18001, ISO14001, ISO9000, etc.).
Must be able to formulate organisational strategic plans with management
Must be willing to be hands-on in the plant, assisting the resident engineers and artisans
