SUMMARY:
A vacancy has arisen for an Engineering Manager to oversee a hospital’s engineering operations and provide leadership and technical guidance to the engineering teams.

POSITION INFO:
Position Overview:
The Engineering Manager will be responsible for ensuring the effective, safe, and compliant operation and maintenance of all movable and immovable plant and equipment within the hospital facilities. The role will also involve leading and managing infrastructure and construction projects to ensure they are carried out according to best practices and applicable legislation. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced individual to make a significant impact on the engineering function of the hospital.

Requirements:

B-Tech or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical (Heavy Current) Engineering, or Government Certificate of Competency (Factories).
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in operations or engineering maintenance.
Practical experience in a hospital environment is strongly preferred.
Proven leadership and people management skills, with experience managing a team of more than 10 employees.
In-depth knowledge of contract negotiation and management, OHS Act regulations, facilities management, financial oversight, and engineering procurement practices.
Strong project management and infrastructure management skills.
