SUMMARY:
A Hospital Engineering Manager is required for a hospital facility in the West Rand of Johannesburg. The successful candidate must be able to work flexi-hours and on-call system as per operational requirements.

POSITION INFO:

Key responsibilities:

· Continuous performance, improvement, assurance and quality management of Occupational Health & Safety within the hospital parameter

· Management of the Engineering department ie: recruitment, assign and evaluate work assigned, performance reviews and development of staff

· Facilitate the management of land, buildings and maintenance of equipment

· Management of on-site contractors

· Direct and control the engineering of water control, energy saving and sustainability projects

· Financial control of capital and operational budgets (budgets, tenders, contracts)

· Report writing

· Present and explain proposals on findings to Hospital Manager and EXCO members

Qualification requirements:

BSC Degree in Mechanical or Electrical (Heavy Current) Engineering
OR
BTech in Mechanical or Electrical (Heavy Current) Engineering
OR
National Diploma from a University in Mechanical or Electrical (Heavy Current) Engineering
OR
Certified Engineer (GCC)

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years in Operations or Engineering maintenance

Must have working experience in an Engineering department of an operating factory OR hospital OR similar environment (required)

Previous people management experience

Good computer literacy and experience on a CMMS (SAP PM would be advantage)

Able to function well under pressure in a continuous changing environment
