Engineering Superintendent

SUMMARY:
Our client in the mining industry has an opportunity available for a Engineering Superintendent, to be based in the Rustenburg area.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Grade 12/ STD 10/ NQF Level 4 is essential
• A recognised relevant Trade Qualification (Section 13/26D) OR proof of recognised completed apprenticeship contract (completed by means of effluxion of time) AND NTC 2/ (Relevant Trade Theory) Qualification.
• A relevant Track master Trade Qualification is essential.
• Advance Track master course (Diploma in Track maintenance) is essential
• Train working rules would be essential
• At least 5 years’ experience as a Tracklayer Foreman (Track inspector) is essential.
• Computer literacy (MS Office package) is essential.
• Knowledge of setting up maintenance plans and strategies is essential.
• Experience as a Foreman is essential.
• Financial knowledge: interpreting financial info; budgets & renewals; managing finance in operational unit
• Knowledge of SAP procedures
• Performance Management skills
• Problem Solving skills (root cause analysis & sound judgement)

KPAs:

• Achieve and maintain rail and road equipment, efficiency and running time.
• Manage projects in the relevant area of responsibility.
• Implement contingency plans to reduce production loses.
• Implement effective operational and tactical management principles and procedure.
• Effectively monitor costs via budgeting and project management methodologies.
• Ensure compliance & review legislative and engineering standards
