REQUIREMENTS
Valid SANC qualification/certificate
5 years post qualification experience working in hospitals and aged care facility
Compassionate and highly professional relationship builder with residents
Attend training where required
Vaccination ESSENTIAL

DUTIES
Management and organisation of resident care carrying out nursing procedures
Promoting independence, mobility & rehabilitation
Assessment of resident well-being
Performing general nursing and emergency procedures
Performing dressing, vital signs, blood pressure, administering oxygen therapy etc and report abnormalities
Organisation of Doctors clinic and medical care assessing residents to be seen and preparing folders
Planning of well-balanced diet, taking cognisance of allergies
Managing complaints and incidents
Drawing up work allocation list with rotation of duties
Providing in-service education to the nurse-carers
Managing grievances and disciplinaries in conjunction with HR
Writing accurate & timeous records and maintenance of records
Administration, control and storage of medication
Maintain inventory of the medical consumables, recording & locking up of medication
Receiving and checking medication from pharmacies
Observation of drug side effects
General administration duties


Salary: R15 – R18000 negotiable dependent on experience
