JOB SUMMARY:
A requirement for a six-months independent contracting role has arisen at our client in Midrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. Our requirement for this role is simple: analyse the client's business, data, applications, and technology domains and develop an enterprise architecture roadmap to optimise these into an integrated digital technology environment that can easily adapt and rapidly respond to business demands and changes. In their case the business demands are driven largely by the portfolio of the business at large.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Description

Lead the development of the enterprise IT architecture, including resource capacity
Develop target architectures to inform how the operating model, largely influenced by the academic portfolio, will be met through the technology architecture
Develop target architectures to inform how the data domain will be met through the technology architecture
Develop target architectures to inform how the applications domain will be met through the technology architecture
Lead the development of the best fit IT operating model to successfully deliver the digitalisation of all SBL functions
Lead the production of high-level enterprise architecture roadmaps for business, data, applications, and technology domains
Work collaboratively with all stakeholders on campus and remotely (hybrid working environment) to manage change
Support change management activities related to the enterprise architecture initiative
Translate business strategy into a technical strategy that defines end to end technology architectures that support the strategy

Applicant requirements:

Master's degree, or equivalent, in any technology related qualification
More than 10 years of experience in enterprise architecture
Experience in developing enterprise IT solutions in hosted and cloud environments
Effective communication skills and exceptional teamwork
Project management skills and strategic thinking are required
Some experience in change management is desirable but not required
Familiarity with higher education environments would be highly beneficial
