Our client has a big solar/substation project in Upington and is looking for an Environment Engineer to start in March 2024.
Salary: Market related
Closing date: Interviews will be scheduled before 2 February 2024
Employment Type: Contract work
Requirements:
- Environment Engineering Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in Environment Engineering, with a proven track record of successfully managing solar/renewable energy projects and substation projects from conception to completion.
- Professional Registration: SACPCMP
- SAGC registration of the proposed Environmental Manager to be used.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Assessing and managing environmental impacts
- Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations
- Conducting environmental risk assessments
- Implementing pollution prevention measures
- Monitoring and managing waste disposal
- Collaborating with regulatory agencies
- Developing and implementing environmental management plans
- Providing environmental awareness training
- Conducting environmental audits and assessments
