SUMMARY:
Job Purpose: 
Ikwezi Mining (Pty) Ltd invites applications for a 2-year Environmental Internship at our Newcastle operations. The successful candidate will assist the Environmental Department in ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, implementing sustainable practices, and supporting environmental monitoring activities on site.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with environmental monitoring (air, water, waste, dust, and noise).
• Support the implementation of environmental management plans.
• Assist with rehabilitation and biodiversity conservation initiatives.
• Participate in environmental audits, inspections, and reporting.
• Contribute to environmental awareness and training campaigns.

• Degree/Diploma in Environmental Management or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance practices.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
