Our client a leader in the global logistics industry is looking to hire the services of an Estimator (Clearing and Forwarding) to join them at their Durban offices.

POSITION INFO:

Location: Durban

Our client a leader in the global logistics industry is looking to hire the services of an Estimator (Clearing and Forwarding) to join them at their Durban offices.

Key Performance Areas:

Receive local and international enquiries by email
Identify All requirements and thereafter request rates (or work with rates on hand)
Preparation of quotes on Cargowise (experience on Cargowise will be beneficial)
Follow up with customers on quotes sent
Must be able to communicate well with customers.
Updating of rate files spreadsheets and schedules
Ensure everyone countrywide has correct rates, carriers & agreements

Job Requirements and Required Skills:

Matric
A broad Knowledge on Air and Sea freight handling of project cargo, Road freight, cross border / cross trades, imports and exports will be beneficial.
Knowledge of Incoterms is Essential.
Intermediate computer literally skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Working experience of Cargo Wise (Advantageous)
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Sea and airfreight import experience (minimum 3 years)
Must have knowledge of processes
Ability to work late where required
