Our client is looking for an Estimator to join their team and take responsibility for designing layouts, pricing equipment, and preparing quotations for low voltage systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with technical drawings, engaging with customers, and collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to deliver tailored solutions.
You will be involved in interpreting single line diagrams and bills of quantity, preparing general arrangement sketches, costing electrical boards, and revising quotes based on customer requirements. This opportunity offers strong exposure to technical estimating, customer interaction, and teamwork within a specialised electrical environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Design layouts and price equipment and electrical boards based on single line diagrams and bills of quantity
• Create and share quotes on low voltage systems
• Read tender specifications and guidelines and prepare general arrangement sketches
• Design electrical board sizes to determine the cost of metal work
• Design electrical equipment layouts to determine the cost of copper work, wiring, and equipment
• Engage with customers to answer technical queries and verify requirements
• Revise quotations based on updated information received from customers
• Liaise with suppliers for specialised equipment when required
• Assist walk-in customers and provide support with technical enquiries
• Work effectively within a team-driven environment

• Relevant technical qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field will be advantageous
• Experience in an estimating role within the electrical or related engineering industry
• Strong ability to interpret single line diagrams, bills of quantity, and tender specifications
• Knowledge of low voltage systems and electrical board layouts
• Ability to cost metal work, copper work, wiring, and equipment accurately
• Strong customer engagement and communication skills
• Ability to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Able to work well independently and as part of a team
