SUMMARY:
Events and Admin Assistant required for a top Winelands Estate.

POSITION INFO:
RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with the planning of events from start to finish according to business division requirement, target audience and objectives.
Pre-event preparation and trouble shooting.
Pro-active execution which will enhance the success of the event.
Assist with preparing of budgets for events.
Effective intercompany co-ordination resulting in smooth event execution.
Sourcing and negotiation with vendors and suppliers when needed
Assist with the appointment and managing of all temporary events staff.
Provide administrative assistance to the Hospitality Department.
Manages the Activitar reservations portal.
Customer service - Addresses all clients and customers in a professional and courteous manner.
Positively & actively promotes the company services and products.

REQUIREMENTS

Previous experience in Events / Function Coordination
Skilled in project management
Excellent communication ( fluent in English & Afrikaans) and negotiation skills
Computer literacy MS Office
Excellent classic cuisine & wine knowledge
A customer service driven individual
Experience in upmarket / fine dining Hospitality service
Qualification in Hospitality management and/ or Project management
