POSITION INFO:

Our client in Franschhoek is looking for a competent and experienced Events Coordinator to assist in the busy and thriving activities of a top Winelands Estate. The successful candidate will need to possess outstanding organizational & communication skills, meticulous planning skills and a passion for the upmarket hospitality sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with the planning of events from start to finish according to business division requirement, target audience and objectives

Pre-event preparation and trouble shooting

Pro-active execution which will enhance the success of the event

Assist with preparing of budgets for events

Effective intercompany co-ordination resulting in smooth event execution

Sourcing and negotiation with vendors and suppliers when needed

Assist with the Appointment and managing of all temporary events staff

Provide administrative assistance to the Hospitality Department

Manages the Activitar reservations portal

Customer service - Addresses all clients and customers in a professional and courteous manner

Positively & actively promotes the company services and products

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in Events / Function Coordination
• Qualification in Hospitality management and/ or Project management
• Skilled in project management
• Excellent communication ( fluent in English & Afrikaans) and negotiation skills
• Computer literacy MS Office
• Excellent classic cuisine & wine knowledge
• A customer service driven individual
• Experience in upmarket / fine dining Hospitality service
