Events Coordinator (Franschhoek, Cape Town) Market Related

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Seeking an experienced Events Coordinator to become a part of the team at a beautiful, well-established hotel in Franschhoek.

The duties and responsibilities of this role will include, but not be limited to:

Contacting potential leads from CRM system
Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors and venues
Negotiate with vendors to achieve the most favourable terms
Planning event details and aspects, including seating, dining and guests
Creating reliable financial reports and collecting payments on time
Managing events and addressing potential problems that may arise
Evaluate event’s success and submit reports
Manage all event operations (preparing venue, invitations etc.)

REQUIREMENTS:

Matric
Tertiary qualification in events management, hospitality management or similar
2 – 4 years’ experience
Resides in the surrounding area of Franschhoek
Great communication skills
Fluent in both Afrikaans and English
Own vehicle and driver’s license
Attention to detail
Well-spoken and presented
Social Media experience would be advantageous
