We are seeking an exceptional Events Head Chef to lead our culinary direction for retreats, celebrations, and bespoke outdoor events. This is an opportunity to express creativity in a setting that honours sustainability, local produce, and authentic hospitality.

POSITION INFO:
What You’ll Do

• Lead the culinary design and delivery for events, retreats, and banquets, from intimate al fresco dining to high-end celebrations.
• Create menus inspired by seasonal ingredients from our regenerative gardens and artisanal suppliers.
• Oversee kitchen operations across multiple venues, ensuring consistency, excellence, and impeccable presentation.
• Collaborate closely with the events and service teams to craft experiences that are as memorable as they are flavourful.
• Train, mentor, and motivate a passionate kitchen team, fostering creativity and precision.
• Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and sustainability in every aspect of the operation.

• South African citizen or valid work permit holder.
• 5+ years’ experience in event, banqueting, or fine-dining environments,  ideally within boutique hotels, lodges, or destination properties.
• Proven success in managing large-scale events and outdoor dining experiences.
• Deep respect for local ingredients, sustainable sourcing, and mindful cooking.
• Strong leadership, time-management, and cost-control skills.
• A calm, creative presence under pressure and a love for crafting meals that connect people with place.
