Events and Wedding Manager

SUMMARY:
Game Lodge is seeking a skilled and dynamic Wedding & Event Manager to plan and execute weddings, conferences, and events in a beautiful bushveld setting. This role offers the chance to create unforgettable experiences while ensuring smooth, professional operations
 
Event Planning & Management
Manage all logistical aspects of events, including venue setup, catering, AV, décor, and transport.
Organise weddings, conferences, and private functions tailored to client specifications.
Conduct client show-arounds and consult on event requirements.
Liaise with clients to coordinate intricate event details and deliver exceptional service.
Source and negotiate with external suppliers to meet client needs and optimise event budgets.
Prepare detailed quotations, follow-ups, contracts, and final invoices.
Ensure accurate and efficient booking processes, including all administrative and billing tasks.
Monitor event execution and oversee the smooth handover to operational teams.
Upsell additional services to maximise event revenue.
Attend and represent the lodge at exhibitions, workshops, and promotional events.
Schedule and attend weekly function and sales meetings.
Maintain strong communication with all departments to ensure seamless event delivery.
Coach and mentor junior staff, fostering a confident and service- oriented team.
Assist in the creation of brochures, marketing materials, and social media content.
Contribute to sales target planning and promotional campaigns.
Provide leadership within the events team and support collaborative efforts.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in wedding or event coordination (hospitality or lodge environment ideal)
Exceptional organisational, multi- tasking, and time management skills
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Customer-focused mindset with a passion for service excellence
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Confident in managing and updating social media platforms
Proven ability to work under pressure and solve problems independently
A proactive, detail-oriented team player
Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays
Valid driver’s license and own transport preferred
