A reputable commercial dealership in Nelspruit is seeking a qualified and experienced Examiner of Vehicles (Grade A) to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough vehicle inspections and issuing Certificates of Roadworthiness in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical knowledge and a commitment to safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct roadworthiness inspections on light, heavy, and commercial vehicles
• Ensure all vehicles comply with National Road Traffic Act regulations
• Issue Certificates of Roadworthiness (COR) where applicable
• Identify mechanical defects and non-compliance issues
• Capture and maintain accurate inspection records and reports
• Operate testing equipment in line with regulatory standards
• Provide clear feedback to workshop teams and customers regarding required repairs
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and operational procedures
• Keep up to date with legislative changes and industry requirements

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:

• Valid Grade A Examiner of Vehicles Certificate (essential)
• Registered with the relevant provincial regulatory authority
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Vehicle Examiner
• Strong knowledge of roadworthiness testing procedures and legislation
• Experience within a commercial dealership or testing station environment
• Valid driver’s licence (Code B; Code EC advantageous)
• Computer literate (MS Office and testing systems)
