POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities

• Own the enterprise-wide data and analytics strategy and ensure alignment to business goals.
• Champion data governance, management, and compliance across the organisation.
• Design data architectures, catalogues, and frameworks for consistency and transparency.
• Partner with IT and business leaders to turn analytics into business intelligence that drives action.
• Lead, inspire, and grow a team of data professionals into a world-class analytics function.

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s a bonus).
• 8+ years of experience in data, analytics, or technology — ideally in financial services, insurance, or telecoms.
• Proven leadership experience managing enterprise-wide data initiatives.
• Technical expertise in Azure Synapse, SQL, Metadata, and Master Data Management.
• Deep knowledge of South African data governance and compliance standards.
• Strong strategic vision, communication, and people leadership skills.
