JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an Executive Manager : Legal, Compliance & Governance for a month to month contract based in East London, Eastern Cape

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

Grade 12; LLB and Admitted Attorney
10+ years’ experience in commercial contracts, company law, property law and commercial litigation
Admitted notary & conveyancer preferred
5 years in a Senior Management role
Advanced understanding of corporate governance principles
Understanding of inter-governmental relations and labour relations
Collective bargaining process knowledge
Knowledge of contract law, company law, property law and commercial litigation

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

Drive implementation of legal and compliance services strategy
Overseeing operations of unit
Provision of sound legal advice and litigation support as well as legislative services and contracts management
Performance management and compliance
Resource optimization
Advocacy – professional team building

Salary: Negotiable
