Experience in Water Treatment Technologies and applications

POSITION INFO:

This will be an EXCO appointment and an Equity appointment.

Our client is seeking a candidate with a minimum of 5 years in a strategic role reporting to Exco MD. In addition a minimum of 10 years of related experience in Water Treatment Technologies and applications for Mining, Industrial, and Public Water. You will be required to provide strategic direction and drive execution for the Water Business technology and financial growth aspirations. Develop and implement Technology strategies, operational plans, management, and alignment.

A solid understanding of mining and industrial processes is an essential requirement.

Qualifications and expertise required

• BSc in Industrial Chemistry/Engineering.
• Preferably MSc in Industrial Chemistry / Engineering.
• MBA would be advantageous.
• Minimum 10 years related experience in Water Treatment Technologies and applications: Boiler Water, Cooling Water Towers, Membranes Treatment, Solid/Liquid separation techniques, monitoring and control solutions, Water Reuse/Repurpose Projects, Effluent Treatment, etc.
• Previous experience as Head of Technical Department including Laboratory, Product Management, and Technical Servicing.
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of the role of Technical / Technology in sales, commerce, and management of sales processes and tendering.
• Sound knowledge of customer relationships and key account management.
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of relevant company policies, processes, and procedures.
• An in-depth understanding of the SDG and Sustainability Goals, OHS Act, Competitions Act, Companies Act, LRA, Department of Trade and Industry procedures affecting the divisional area.
• Commercial contracting expertise at a strategic level concerning pricing, delivering key performance areas, liabilities, industrial/labour relations, and ensuring internal and external stakeholder balance concerning long-term expectations or outcomes.
