POSITION INFO:
Foreman/General Foreman – Bridge Projects
Job Summary - Responsible for supervising and coordinating daily site activities to ensure bridge construction works are executed safely, efficiently, and according to drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise daily construction activities on site (piling, substructure, superstructure, concreting, formwork, rebar, etc.).
• Allocate tasks to workers and subcontractors and monitor productivity.
• Ensure works are executed according to approved drawings, method statements, and quality standards.
• Enforce site safety rules and toolbox talks.
• Coordinate plant, materials, and manpower requirements with the site engineer/project manager.
• Inspect completed work and report issues or delays.
• Maintain daily site records and progress reports.
• Identify site constraints and propose practical solutions.
• Support inspections by consultants and client representatives.
Requirements
• Diploma or trade qualification in civil construction (preferred).
• 5+ years’ experience in bridge or heavy civil works.
• Strong knowledge of construction sequences and site safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Good leadership and communication skills.
Salary: 5000 - 6000USD pm plus 500USD pm for daily expenses, accomodation, car and driver, life insurance and medical aid. 2 flights per annum home for 2 weeks break at a time.
