Expert Boilermaker \/ Fitter (Heavy Manufacturing) - Cape Town, Cape Winelands - Salary R25 000 to R30 000 About the Role Are you an experienced Boilermaker \/ Fitter with a strong background in heavy manufacturing? We are actively recruiting for a top-tier client in the construction materials sector looking for a skilled craftsman to maintain, repair, and install industrial machinery-including building and shaping precision dies essential to their production line. Key Responsibilities Welding & Fabrication: Perform high-precision CO2 and ARC welding to repair, build, and maintain industrial machinery. Mechanical & Die Work: Inspect, troubleshoot, build, shape, and repair mechanical systems and specialized dies. Installation & Maintenance: Assemble and install metal structures and machinery, conducting routine preventative maintenance to minimize downtime. Technical Interpretation: Accurately read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to meet design specifications. Safety & Standards: Maintain a safe, clean work environment and uphold strict safety regulations and industry standards. What We Are Looking For Experience : Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience as a Boilermaker\/Fitter, ideally within a manufacturing environment. Welding Proficiency: Proven expertise in CO2 and ARC welding techniques. Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read technical drawings and solve complex mechanical issues. Industry Experience: Background in the brick, concrete, or construction materials industry is highly advantageous. Certifications: Formal welding or trade qualifications are preferred. Attributes: Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently or collaborating within a team.
