SUMMARY:
We are looking for a seasoned geologist from gold mining to spearhead our upcoming drilling campaigns and resource definition projects. The focus will be to supervise sampling, drilling, overall planning exploration, as well as weekly reporting and data analysis.
POSITION INFO:
Role Overview As the Senior Exploration Geologist, you will lead field exploration programs from target generation to resource definition. You will be responsible for designing drilling programs, managing geological data, and mentoring junior staff, ensuring all gold mineralization models are accurate and compliant with international reporting codes. Key Responsibilities Program Management: Plan, execute, and supervise greenfield and brownfield exploration drilling programs (diamond, RC, and aircore) Geological Modeling: Develop and update robust 3D geological and structural models to guide exploration vectors and define high-grade gold targets Data Governance: Oversee QA\/QC protocols, logging, sampling, and assay database management to ensure the highest integrity of resource data Team Leadership: Mentor and manage field geologists, geotechnicians, and contract crews to maintain safety standards and operational efficiency. Reporting: Prepare technical reports, exploration updates, and resource estimates in accordance with SAMREC\/NI 43-101 standards Qualifications & Experience Education: Degree in Geology or Earth Sciences Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in mineral exploration, with a strong focus on gold deposits. Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog Geo, Datamine, Micromine) and GIS applications (ArcGIS, QGIS) Compliance: Deep understanding of QA\/QC protocols and public reporting codes (SAMREC\/JORC). Field Readiness: Willingness to spend significant time at remote exploration camps and travel internationally as required.
