Export Specialist - Seed and Agrochemical

SUMMARY:
An established agrochemical manufacturer is seeking an experienced Export Specialist to steer export processes by preparing accurate documentation and communicating with brokers in collaboration with customs regulations, local authorities and local customs brokers to ensure set service levels, lead times and costs are met.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a degree in Supply Chain Management or Business
• At least 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain, Imports and Exports Logistics, International Trade and Customs Compliance will be required
• Must be computer literate with knowledge of Customs systems
• Previous experience in the agricultural industry would be preferred

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Preparing and processing export documents and communicating with brokers on customs clearance, import permits, certificates and marine covers.
• Arranging carrier transportation for external sales and International Carrier Bonds orders.
• Supporting order fulfilment and transportation cycle in arranging for inspections where required and ensuring timely loading- and tracking of both air and sea freight shipments.
• Processing payment to customs authorities, regulatory bodies, carriers, duties, and other clearance and Broker fees as per statement to ensure compliance.
• Coordinating local customs inspection, clearance and onward forwarding to the desired distribution centre or customer for direct shipments.
• Ensuring exports are done as per the Imports and Exports SOP’s and maintaining accurate documents, such as Goods Inspection, Collection and Customer Receipt to support ISO, internal and other external audits.
• Updating respective internal and external databases via SAP for exports goods receipt and Logistics GRVs processing.
• Coordinating with respective functions for sample requests PO creation, coordinating clearance and onward forwarding, providing status updates.
• Creating shipment and claims files as well as filing all correspondence related to Import permits.
• Processing all claims resulting from shortages or damages.
