SUMMARY:
National electrical automation company is looking for an experienced and qualified External Sales Engineer to join their team at their Durban office.

POSITION INFO:

Duties and responsibilities:

Client Liaison and Sales
Monitoring of sales targets and business objectives
Preparation of technical quotations
Proactively meeting external challenges
Proactively promoting the specification of company products with end users

Qualifications and experience:

Applicants should have a N4-6/S14 Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent
Formal qualification in Sales or Marketing will be advantageous
Minimum of 4 years sales or experience and product knowledge of variable speed drives, soft starters, motor control and automation
Must be technically competent with regards to motor starting with digital soft starters and vsd
Must be able to read & interpret electrical drawings.
Well-developed English language skills, especially in relation to oral and written communication
Afrikaans speaking advantageous but not required
Well developed basic arithmetic skills in order to prepare quotations/ tenders and monitor business targets and objectives
Computer literate and experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Experience in training and technical sales presentation skills.
Ability to communicate with all levels from shop floor to engineering consultants
Ability to work under pressure
Good negotiation skills
Good organisational and interpersonal skills
