JOB DESCRIPTION:

An established steel fabrication/construction company in the Springs/Delmas area is looking for a Sales Representative with a minimum of 5 years steel-based external sales experience

Responsibilities

Service existing client base which includes small customers as well as large clients and companies

Identifying and developing new clients

Preparation and sending of quotations to clients
Ensure detail, accuracy and inclusion of all relevant project specifications for respective tenders
Prepare and review tender proposals
Processing of orders as per clients requirements
Meetings with architects, engineers and clients on requirements and or product specifications/technical information
Attend site meetings – evaluation, quotation, follow ups and related
Resolve customer issues and complaints
Submit annual budgets and targets
Relevant reports to management on activity and results
Ongoing Liaison with various company departments including Projects, Detailing, Procurement, Production
Adhere to all company safety rules and regulations including site visits when required

Requirements

Grade 12
MUST HAVE a minimum of 5 – 8 years Steel based external Sales Rep experience
People without 5 years Steel based sales experience will NOT be considered
Computer literate - MS Office
Experience with Sage/Pastel, Syspro, SAP or similar software is ideal
Must be able to travel to clients and companies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven sales track record
Able to travel and work outside of normal hours if required
Valid driver’s license
Own reliable vehicle
Salary is dependent on relevant Technical Sales skillset and relevant industry experience
