External Senior Sales Representative

An established steel fabrication/construction company in the Springs/Delmas area is looking for a Sales Representative with a minimum of 5 years steel-based external sales experience

Responsibilities

• Service existing client base which includes small customers as well as large clients and companies

• Identifying and developing new clients

• Preparation and sending of quotations to clients
• Ensure detail, accuracy and inclusion of all relevant project specifications for respective tenders
• Prepare and review tender proposals
• Processing of orders as per clients requirements
• Meetings with architects, engineers and clients on requirements and or product specifications/technical information
• Attend site meetings – evaluation, quotation, follow ups and related
• Resolve customer issues and complaints
• Submit annual budgets and targets
• Relevant reports to management on activity and results
• Ongoing Liaison with various company departments including Projects, Detailing, Procurement, Production
• Adhere to all company safety rules and regulations including site visits when required

Requirements

• Grade 12
• MUST HAVE a minimum of 5 – 8 years Steel based external Sales Rep experience
• People without 5 years Steel based sales experience will NOT be considered
• Computer literate - MS Office
• Experience with Sage/Pastel, Syspro, SAP or similar software is ideal
• Must be able to travel to clients and companies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven sales track record
• Able to travel and work outside of normal hours if required
• Valid driver’s license
• Own reliable vehicle
• Salary is dependent on relevant Technical Sales skillset and relevant industry experience
