Extruder operator

SUMMARY:
A leading client in the food manufacturing sector is looking for an experienced and dedicated Extruder Operator to join their production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining extrusion equipment to produce high-quality food products in line with company standards and safety regulations.

POSITION INFO:

Duties:

• Operate, monitor and adjust food extrusion machines to ensure efficient and consistent production.
• Set up and prepare extrusion lines including temperature, feed rate, and pressure adjustments.
• Ensure raw materials are loaded correctly and in the right quantities.
• Monitor product quality, texture and moisture during the extrusion process.
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with food safety and company standards.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and report any machine faults or irregularities.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery and work areas.
• Keep accurate production and quality control records.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and health and safety protocols.
• Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals.

Requirements:

• 2–4 years’ proven experience as an Extruder Operator in a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of extrusion processes, equipment setup, and food safety standards.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and other food safety regulations (advantageous).
• Technical and mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and resolve operational issues.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple production runs.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and overtime when required.
