SUMMARY:
PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Facilities Management Technician performs a variety of basic repair, installation, and/or modification services including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, combustion, refrigeration, controls, gas, joinery, laboratory, hydraulics, carpentry or machine servicing at a customer building site.

POSITION INFO:

DUTIES AND RESPONIBILITIES:

Undertake maintenance procedures, regular checks and routine inspections on equipment in conjunction with the maintenance team.
Ensure the continuous operation of the installed system.
Undertake repair and minor works associated with the installed services relevant to their job designation.
Assist and enhance service delivery through best practice and the effective use of site systems and equipment
Carry out personal risk assessments of maintenance and repair activities.
Complete service reports and data entry on maintenance planning system.
Maintain and review stock levels, spares requirement through audit and timely ordering of parts
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance to the Client Health & Safety procedures.
Documenting installations & modifications
Assisting operations engineers with fault finding
Selecting, specifying and procuring controls hardware.
Supporting specialist subcontractors when on site.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Trade Tested Electrician, Plumber, HVAC or other trade - ESSENTIAL.
- Drivers Licence
- COC & Wireman’s Licence - DESIRABLE.
SKILLS:
Computer literacy (Email, Spreadsheets, & system related reporting

English speaking, and ability to read and write in English. - ESSENTIAL.

Building, plumbing & carpentry repairs - DESIRABLE.
