SUMMARY:
FINANCIAL MANAGER
Paarl

A Private Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to lead financial operations in the agricultural sector within the Cape Winelands area.

The Financial Manager will play a critical role in managing the company's financial processes, including cash flow management, reporting, audits, and strategic financial planning. This role ensures the company's compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements while supporting operational efficiency and growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee and manage weekly cash flow summaries, forecasts, and funds transfers.
Ensure timely processing and payment of wages and salaries through payroll systems.
Manage creditors and suppliers, including review and reconciliation processes.
Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, chemicals and fertilizer reports, and diesel usage.
Handle annual audits, tax submissions, and financial reporting for various entities.
Monitor and ensure compliance with VAT, income tax, and other statutory submissions.
Develop schedules for salary increases, bonuses, and profit share distributions.
Liaise with directors for approval of rental increases, royalties, and other financial commitments.
Support finance staff development and provide leadership in IT and security administration.
Address general queries from internal and external stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification is highly advantageous.
Minimum of five years’ experience in a financial management role, preferably within the agricultural or related sectors.
Exceptional knowledge of financial software systems (e.g., Pastel) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English with excellent communication skills.
High level of confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
