SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

A market leader in the development and management of neighbourhood convenience centres is seeking to recruit and appoint a FINANCIAL MANAGER at their head office in Stellenbosch.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of 3 accountants.
• Oversee and review monthly financial management accounts within the group.
• Ensure monthly accounts to TB level is completed within pre-agreed cut off dates.
• Oversee and review monthly VAT return preparation and submissions.
• Liaise and assist with the annual group external audits, including but not limited to:
o Planning audits to meet AFS reporting cut off dates
o Preparation of audit files and financial records
o Ensure audit queries are resolved timeously
o Review draft financial statements for presentation to Board
• Quarterly Consolidation of various Group structures within the business.
• Assist with the preparation of quarterly Shareholders’ reports.
• Assist the FD with tax planning and administration, including but not limited to:
o Provisional tax calculations
o Annual income tax calculations
• Liaise with Property facility managers to ensure timeous completion of operational accounts.
• Manage group statutory records in conjunction with company auditors.
• Ad hoc functions as may reasonable be expected.

Minimum Education:

• Chartered Accountant
• Expert MS Excel skills essential
• 3- 5years’ similar experience
• Exceptional Communication, Leadership, and Mentoring Skills;
• Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills and ability to multi-task
