FINANCIAL MANAGER - AGRICULTURE

SUMMARY:
Nelspruit – Mpumalanga: This position reports directly to the Head of Finance

POSITION INFO:

The Financial Manager is responsible for managing, processing, and reporting on the financial information and collating the financial reports in line with the Group policies, procedures, and deadlines.

This includes the organisation, management, and dissemination of financial information to the business that is accurate, timely and relevant for decision making. System management of SAGE X3 to ensure optimal use for the business and financial reporting purposes.

Being passionate about growing and caring for the environment, employees and partners whilst ensuring a compliant, service delivery focused department meeting Group and statutory reporting requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting management systems.
• Experience in agricultural business, preferably sub-tropical tree crops.
• Internationally recognized Accounting Qualification (CA, ACA, CIMA, CPA).
• Strong technical abilities and up to date knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards for Small and Medium Entities.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Experience in the preparation and review of management accounts and the ability to critically analyse the financial information.
• Advanced Excel, SAGE X3 and Qlikview.
• Knowledge and experience of the compliance and accounting function related requirements to ensure appropriate corporate governance is upheld protecting the integrity of the business and the safekeeping of company assets.
• Experience of managing, training, and developing staff.

• Excellent ICT skills including a good knowledge of MS Office, Qlikview and accounting software.
• Attention to detail and the ability to produce timely and accurate monthly accounts for consolidation to HOF:SA.
• Good leadership qualities.
