SUMMARY:
Our client, a leading fresh produce business, is seeking a Financial Manager / Senior Accountant to join its team.
POSITION INFO:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee core accounting and administrative functions
- Process information and prepare reports relating to inventory and asset management
- Manage and track maintenance cost data for assets
- Compile monthly management reports for profit centres
- Prepare accounting entries and draft annual financial statements
- Compile and manage budgets
- Perform various ad hoc administrative tasks relevant to the role
- Complete and submit VAT and Income Tax returns
- Liaise with the South African Revenue Service (SARS)
REQUIREMENTS:- Relevant tertiary qualification – BCom Accounting with completed articles
- CA(SA) qualification will be a strong advantage
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Advanced computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel
- Strong numerical and administrative skills
- Experience with business intelligence (BI) and analytical software will be highly beneficial
- Sound knowledge of financial statement preparation
- Bilingual (Afrikaans and English) with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Solid understanding of VAT and Income Tax regulations
