FINANCIAL MANAGER / SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

SUMMARY:
Our client, a leading fresh produce business, is seeking a Financial Manager /  Senior Accountant to join its team.

POSITION INFO:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee core accounting and administrative functions
• Process information and prepare reports relating to inventory and asset management
• Manage and track maintenance cost data for assets
• Compile monthly management reports for profit centres
• Prepare accounting entries and draft annual financial statements
• Compile and manage budgets
• Perform various ad hoc administrative tasks relevant to the role
• Complete and submit VAT and Income Tax returns
• Liaise with the South African Revenue Service (SARS)

• Relevant tertiary qualification – BCom Accounting with completed articles
• CA(SA) qualification will be a strong advantage
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in a similar role
• Advanced computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel
• Strong numerical and administrative skills
• Experience with business intelligence (BI) and analytical software will be highly beneficial
• Sound knowledge of financial statement preparation
• Bilingual (Afrikaans and English) with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Solid understanding of VAT and Income Tax regulations
