FINANCIAL MANAGER UAE

SUMMARY:
Financial Manager – Driving Financial Performance & Strategy

POSITION INFO:

• Closing off month-ends and preparing financial reports
• Budget Preparation as well as Forecasts.
• Analyzing financial data and escalation where necessary.
• Monitoring internal controls.
• Cash flow updates weekly on a consolidated basis.
• Capex requirements and sign off.
• Ensure all payment authorizations as per authorization matrix.
• Coordination of cash management with Management Accountant (inclusive of Banking platform).
• Coordination and preparation of monthly group uploads to ECC (inclusive of MANCO formats).
• Consolidated BU reporting in group format on all UAE entities
• Board reporting support for annual and Mid-Year reporting
• Overseeing and preparing income statements.
• Approvals to recruit and recoverability are authorized.
• Group financial analysis as and when necessary.
• Working capital analysis (consolidated view across UAE BU’s)
• Managing financial transactions.
• Review costings and rate cards with the Management Accountant on bids and tender requests.
• Review and sign off of site P&L’s with Management accountant
• Administration of SAP B1 module including staff issues.
• Journal entry authorization.
• Credit Note approvals in SAP.
• Monthly income recon sign off.
• Streamlining accounting functions and operations.
• Evaluating and managing risk.
• Audit facilitation and oversight for Excellerate Services UAE (internal, external and compliance reviews).
• Staff administration including leave requests and workflow coordination via the respective Management Accountants (delegation and oversight of this task).
• Finance staff training where required.
• Review all Statutory calculations and submit as well with Dubai Labour Dept’s, Dubai economic depts and federal Tax Authority.
• Complex transactional support (IFRS16 - across SA BU’s, IFRS9, IAS38, IAS16, Goodwill impairment analysis (UAE only), other IFRS related items as and when required.
• Monthly Payroll audits and sign off for payday.
• Capex reviews.
• Wage comparison and variance analysis.
• Reporting to executive management

SPECIFIC SCOPE REQUIREMENTS

• Management Account review of UAE Entities
• Intercompany balancing sign off of above entities at month end
• Balance sheet reconciliation review and sign offs on above entities
• Presentation to executive management for reporting purposes
• Review of management accountant debt collection processes and escalating where necessary by site visits.
• Oversight of statutory submissions for UAE
• Coordination of the budgeting and forecast processes for above entities
• AFS review of scoped entities.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

EDUCATION: Designation CA(SA)

WORK EXPERIENCE: Completion of SAICA articles and experience in a managerial role.

LANGUAGE: English

ATTITUDE: Conducive to empowerment and development of team cohesion.

ADHERENCE TO: SAICA code of conduct and policies and processes of the organisation.
