FINOPS Administrator (Banking)

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Wealth Management Services industry is currently looking for a Finance Operations Administrator (Banking), in Clearmont, Western Cape.

POSITION INFO:

• Authorized releaser of local and international payments.
• Responsible for the financial controls of a LISP, Life Company, CIS Manco, and retirement funds
• Review bank reconciliations and assist in resolving reconciling items.
• Review Manco unit reconciliations and assist in resolving differences identified.
• Escalate potential issues to the FinOps Team Leader
• Responsible for completing AML reviews received from fund managers/Manco.
• Tax reporting – review PAYE reconciliations and ensure successful submission of tax files to SARS.
• Deal with and resolve daily operational queries that may occur.
• Dealing with and building good relationships with external suppliers.
• Contribute to the audit process and resolve any audit queries within deadlines.
• Continuously develop expertise in professional, industry, and legislation knowledge.

• B.Com Honours or similar qualification from a leading tertiary institution.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in financial services, preferably within financial operations for a LISP or a management company.
• A high degree of problem-solving.
• Proficiency in the latest Microsoft packages (Advanced Excel)
• Ability to work with SQL i.e. query data an advantage.
• Good understanding of systems, processes, data, and products.
• A strong logical thinking and analytical ability with excellent numerical skills and the ability to be accurate and pay attention to detail.

• R35 000 CTC per month + 13th Cheque.
