SUMMARY:
FITTER AND TURNER / MACHINIST

POSITION INFO:

RedCat Recruitment is seeking a suitably qualified and trade tested FITTER AND TURNER / MACHINIST for a well-established company, position based in the Howick area, Kwazulu-Natal Midlands.

REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12.

Valid driver’s license / own reliable vehicle.

Trade tested Fitter and Turner.

Competent computer skills (Email / MS Office).

3yrs+ previous working experience as a qualified Fitter and Turner or Machinist.

Maintain plant equipment by means of machining and mechanical work.

Reading and interpreting blueprints to manufacture and fit mechanical components.

Operating metal lathes, drilling machines, and milling machines for crafting precise components.

Performing preventative maintenance to keep machinery in optimum condition.

Troubleshooting malfunctioning systems and conducting timely repairs.

Collaborating with engineers and production teams to improve machinery performance and efficiency.

Person must be physically fit.
