FMCG Logistics Distribution Manager

SUMMARY:
Do you have experience within the FMCG Warehouse & Distribution logistics sector supervising a team and managing third party suppliers to achieve order fulfilment successfully?
Our client requires your initiative and ability to control stock movement timeously for deliveries?

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS
Matric Diploma/Degree in Logistics Management preferred
Proven warehousing & logistics management experience
3 – 5 years FMCG experience
Previous supervision of small team – performance management
computer literacy (excel & email proficiency)
Self-managed showing initiative and ability to solve problems
Excellent administration, organisational and numeracy skills
Proven communications skills dealing with Customers, RSM’s, Agents, Transporters and Distributors
Time management skills with ability to prioritise and multi-task
Appetite for growth and inspire co-workers
 
DUTIES
Managing Transportation and Distribution
Co-ordinate, execute, and follow up on deliveries
Maintain all documentation standards in line with company SOP’s
Achieve customer service level standards and order fulfilment
Use initiative dealing with customers and problem solving
Optimize distribution costs through value chain efficiencies
Supervision of export loading requirements
Support sales to achieve established sales and profit objectives
Third party relationships and performance management thereof
Chep Pallet account management, and processing thereof
Control adherence aligned with company policies
Warehouse - Stock management/control of finished goods
Management of all damaged & expiring stock
Control adherence aligned with company policies
Maintain ‘Housekeeping’ Standards at all times
