SUMMARY:
Roaming Maintenance Technician
POSITION INFO:
1.RESPONSIBILITY OF JOB
The incumbent is mainly responsible for onsite maintenance of a fuel management system on site.
2.MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS (KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS)
The core responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
âªPerform fault diagnostics and error analysis
âªInstall and commissioning products
âªRepair, remove, inspection and servicing of products
âªEnsure that the equipment is in good working order and condition
âªEnsure that the equipment is maintained and repaired/installed in accordance with the OEM requirements and specifications
âªCompile a schedule for preventative maintenance on the fixed fuel management system, which will be distributed to all relevant Customer parties
âªAssist with mini projects running in maintenance
âªSupport and assist the Database Specialist with investigations and solutions as necessary
Perform administrative tasks such as keeping records of all new installed equipment, maintaining vehicle logbooks, maintaining technician onsite reports (TOS) up to date, ensuring that job cards are completed timeously, correctly and handed in for invoicing
âªKeep track of stock and perform regular stock counts
âªAssist customer with technical advice on products
âªBe responsible to inform the Customer representative of any equipment that have become obsolete or are beyond economical repair
âªSupport the Marketing effort of products to customers
âªAct as Site Manager.
âªComply with all the Customer’s rules and regulations and policies such health, safety, quality and environment and will adhere to all safe working procedures
âªEnsure that all medical fitness and induction documents as required by the Customer, including the Contractor’s Pack are up to date as well as making the necessary appointments and arrangements when it comes up for renewal
âªReport daily to the appointed Customer representative before commencing his/her daily work responsibilities
âªWill be required to attend weekly/monthly safety meetings as required by the mine
âªBe required to work standby from time to time

4.FORMAL TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
âªElectrical Trade test.
âªElectro-mechanical or instrumentation experience required.
âªCode 8 License
5.ANY SPECIAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
-Ability to compile professional reports for the benefit of customers.
-Good Health – Regular medicals conducted by our customers are a prerequisite for work to commence
