POSITION INFO:
Role Purpose
The Financial Planner & Analyst will be responsible for delivering accurate
financial planning, insightful analysis, and strategic support to the business. This role goes beyond reporting — it requires someone who can interpret data, challenge assumptions, and translate numbers into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts across revenue, expenses, and cash flow
- Conduct in-depth financial and operational analysis to identify trends, assess performance, and evaluate profitability
- Provide strategic support to leadership on investments, new initiatives, and overall business planning
- Build, maintain, and enhance financial models to support scenario planning and ad-hoc analysis
- Prepare monthly reporting packs and contribute to dashboards and visualisation tools
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Finance, Marketing, and Credit to ensure alignment on performance metrics and objectives
- Deliver variance analysis and performance commentary to support informed decision-making
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field
- 2–5 years’ experience in FP&A or a Financial Analyst role
- Advanced Excel skills (financial functions, pivot tables, VBA)
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Working knowledge of SQL for querying databases
- Exposure to retail, fintech, or lending environments would be advantageous
